Tai Tong Ah has come a long way since the early days when production was done by hand at home by Mr Yeoh, his wife, and children. Over the years, automation was introduced and quality control processes set in place. One major milestone was when the company brought in the first set of semi-automated filling machines into the manufacturing plant at the Pasir Panjang Industrial Park in the 90s. The machine was locally designed to meet the specific requirement of filling 12 bottles at the same time. This automation effort improved productivity greatly (it only needed one man to operate and manage the filling process), improved the accuracy of filling each bottle, and minimised any potential contamination.
