In the early days, production was done by hand at home. In 1979, the company moved into its first factory in Genting Lane, and then in 1993, relocated to Pasir Panjang Industrial Park. 14 years later, the company moved to the Tai Seng Industrial Estate in Oct 2007. The new facility was set up according to the international standard of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for pharmaceutical plant. With the government funding support under ADVANTAGE! Scheme, Tai Tong Ah invested about $200,000 into new equipment and redesigned work processes. Workers no longer capped the bottles manually. The number of days needed for filling and capping was reduced by half. The use of an internal reticulation system to transfer liquid greatly reduced the physical strain on the older workers. One year after moving into Tai Seng, Tai Tong Ah proudly received our first certification for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) from the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA) in 2008.
